If you are over 16 and have never previously owned a home, you don't want to miss out on thousands of pounds from the government by signing up to their Help To Buy scheme. (with as little as £1) or you lose the chance to gain 1000's for free towards a future home.

But now there's a closing date and it's just 1 month away. You’ll only be able to open a Help to Buy ISA until 30 November 2019 so you now have a small window to get one. After that date, they won’t be available to new savers anymore (if you're already opened one you can keep saving into it until 30 November 2029 when accounts will close to additional contributions) It's totally worth its weight in gold so really do think about doing it if you have never owned a home before, its the easiest and most straightforward form of help for a first-time buyer to build up that elusive deposit.

In basic terms: You will get a 25% boost from the government - Each £1,000 you can save becomes £1,250. So if one day you want to buy a home, consider opening one now (you can open one with as little as £1) as you can keep saving in it until 2029.

Do it, you only need £1!

NB: You must claim your Government added bonus by 1 December 2030.
